kcr settlers in telanganaIf some reports emerging in the media are to be believed, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had decided to leave away the settler appeasement attitude. KCR who was wooing the settlers until a week ago was very disappointed with the MLC election result in Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar seat.

Sources say KCR arrived at a conclusion that settlers will not be on his side despite many steps to attract them. So the Chief Minister had taken two controversial decisions in the last week against the Settlers of the GHMC region.

Telangana government had started pruning all the departments of the state secretariat. Orders have gone to relieve all the employees with AP roots even though they are local to Telangana according to Article 371 D. They will be now deported to less prominent posts. And the second controversial decision is levying entry tax on AP vehicles which will increase travel costs of settlers for to and from travel of Hyderabad. The repercussions of these decisions will be seen in the GHMC elections.
