KCR government lacking vision on irrigation projects!Telangana government seem to be lacking proper vision on the completion of irrigation projects in the state. There are four projects – Bhima, Nakkalagandi, Nettempaadu, Koelsagar in the state which are 80% complete and will give water to eight Lakh acres if completed. But the government is not making any allocations to these projects and is taking up Palamuru – Rangareddy project first which had to be started from the scratch.

Even on this project, government is not clear. The Chief Minister had announced to complete the 35200 Crore project in 2 years while the government release a G.O stating that it will be completed in four years. On the other side, Telangana government had applied to the World Bank for loan and in that report it said it would require seven years to complete the project.

It is impossible to complete the project in 2 years allocating 18000 Crore per year. The state government could not even complete the survey in the three months after laying the foundation stone for this project. Preparing DPR, Land acquisition, rehabilitation and then the construction all these are not easy tasks to complete in 2 years. It’s time for KCR to revisit his strategies.
