Director Kamal Haasan had to cope with various conflicts over the DTH premiere of his film ‘Vishwaroopam ‘, a day ahead of its theatrical release. Theater Owners Association (TOA) members are against the celebrity and refuted to permit a theatrical release to his movie.

Kamal Haasan had to contact the police for assistance. So he met the ADGP (Additional Director General of Police), Law and Order today at the DGP’s (Director General of Police) office in Chennai and has petitioned against certain vested interests who have been employing restrictive trade practices and even threatening him regarding his DTH plans. The director has been notified of intentional power cuts during the DTH telecast and also about illegally pirating the DTH feed. Kamal has given a clear written complaint with all names and particulars. But he refused to divulge names to the media.

He restated that he would go ahead with the DTH premiere of the movie on 10th night and with the theatrical release of the movie on 11th in all three languages and went to the Chief Secretary’s office in Chennai regarding the complaint.
