The d-day has arrived all the booking are done, the hype is at its peak, the only question remaining now is where the film will end at the end of its opening day? This has been the talk all day in the trade with all sorts of numbers thrown around. We present you a rough picture of where Kabali really likely to end.
For starters in Telugu Kabali is easily expected to topple ‘I’ movie and emerge as the biggest opener ever among dubbed films. Which means the film is assured of crossing 7 Cr mark. It could end up as high as 9 or 10 Cr going by the trade expectations. In Tamil the current record holder for Day 1 is Vedalam at 15 Cr plus Nett. Kabali here is going to beat it by good margin. While Vedalam had a Nett of 15 Cr Kabali is predicted to earn Share of 15 Cr at the minimum. That’s approximately 20 Cr plus from two markets alone.
Coming to overseas in US alone Kabali will likely to cross 1 Million from premiere itself. With other regions adding up to it for Tamil version, one is looking at the massive number from premieres in the international market. Overall if we now combine Telugu and Tamil versions Kabali is looking at a 30 Cr plus share on day 1. These are conservatively expected numbers which don’t factor in the talk that could make the numbers swing either way.
All said and done, Kabali is a guaranteed to be among top 3 biggest openings of all time in India (all languages included). We have to see if it could be the number one or not.
