Two films Jil and Rey released yesterday and there were lots of surprise in store for the trade courtesy of these two films.
Jil which was expected to open with bang and garner good talk did neither. On the other hand Rey which was expected to be a nonstarter and disaster surprised on the start but eventually settled as expected. Yes, Rey had a superb beginning in the morning shows in comparison with Jil and it surprised many. Especially in the smaller b and c centres Rey had a lead at the end of the day too.
However as word of mouth came into play Rey completely dropped where as Jil with its average talk maintained a steady run. Even today the festive advantage has been snatched by Jil and Rey seems well on its way to be a disaster.
