CBI has began the arguments in YS Jagan’s disproportionate assets cases on Tuesday. The court has taken up the first of the eleven chargesheets filed on the young politician and it will hearing all the chargesheets one after the other mostly relating to quid pro quo. The first charge sheet dealt with Hetero and Aurobindo Pharma. The Late YS Raja Sekhar Reddy had given them land in the special economic zone at Jadcherla at Rs. 7 lakh an acre though the price fixation committee of the government fixed the price at Rs. 15 lakh an acre.

In turn the companies had made huge investments flouting norms in Jagati Publications within 7 months even though it was a Rs. 350-crore loss-making firm.CBI alleges that Jagan earned 1240 Crores through this deal. Taking up the arguement, CBI Public Prosecutor told the court that Jagan’s wealth in such a short time will be case study at the Harvard School of Business!
