ys jagan assets caseOne by one the accused in the quid-pro-quo are going to appear in the court for a hearing of their discharge petition filed by these companies. One such company Hetero Pharmacy which was mentioned in one of the eleven chargesheets, appeared before CBI court on Friday and made its submission to the principal special judge N Balayogi.

This particular submission came about the statement given by Sooreedu to the CBI regarding YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets case. On the behalf of the company, the company’s counsel V Pattabhi made the submission that the investigative agency CBI should either completely discard the statement of Sooreedu or use it to nail even the others mentioned in his statement.

Sooreedu, the close aid of Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy mentioned the name of KVP Ramachandra Rao and several big industrialists alongwith Hetero. Besides submission on Sooreedu’s statement, the company’s counsel questioned on CBI’s wisdom on their investments. Arguing on the quid pro quo, the counsel argued that it is foolish to invest 19 crores on Jagan’ firms for a gain on 8 crores on SEZ land as alleged by CBI.

Further the company counsel Pattabhi elaborated on the difference between land rate and land rent and also said that the company’s decision to invest in Jagathi Publications of Jagan is its own interest and how can one decide for the company. They liked Jagan’s brand and hence invested like one invests on branded items because they like it even if they can get cheaper items. After these submissions and arguments, judge Balayogi posted the case to 27th October.
