Andhra Pradesh is second only after Gujarat to get maximum number of green clearances since the NDA government came in to Power. The environment ministry has cleared 241 projects across the country in the first six months after NDA assumed office and out of which 55 belongs to Gujarat and 35 are from Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly the other Telugu state, Telangana is yet to open its account.
Maharashtra comes third in the green clearances with 22 of their projects getting nod. Next in the line are Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Naidu and West Bengal. Along with Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Jammu and Kashmir are yet to get clearances for any of their projects in this six months time.
