Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given his first TV channel interview to CNN after assuming office. In the interview, Modi has opined that Al-Qaeda will be a failure in India. “Indian Muslims will live for India, they will die for India — they will not want anything bad for India,” the Prime Minister said. It is a very interesting comment from Narendra Modi who was always shown as Anti-Muslim post the Gujarat riots in 2002.
Modi’s commented that Al-Qaeda will be a failure in India. These comments came in the wake of the head of Al-Qaeda issuing a video appealing Indian Muslims to join and try to create Al-Qaeda branch in India. Modi refused to elaborate further on the issue as it is not right to psychological and religious analysis on any religion or group. He described Terrorism as attack on humanity but not a crisis against one country or one race.
