‘Julayi’ was the last released film of svelte beauty Ileana D’Souza in Tollywod. After making her Bollywood debut with ‘Barfi’, she didn’t look back towards either Tollywood or Kollywood, the two industries which actually gave her life as an actress. In many occasions Ileana’s comments on Tollywood never had been rosy and she cut out a sorry figure like many South heroines who make money from Tollywood but later dump and speak ill of it.
Coming to her present stature in Bollywood, Ileana has two hits and one flop to her credit. She is considered very lucky that she is going to pair up with none other than Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan in his next venture with Yash Raj Films. That implies Ileana is signed by YRF films. As it is well known, YRF production house always has a three film contract with heroines. Last time, they had Vani Kapoor sign their contract for three films.
Vani starred in Hindi film ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’. As a part of agreement, YRF chose her the heroine for their bilingual venture in South ‘Aha Kalyanam’ with Nani. It is the choice of the production house not Vani’s to act in South film. Since Ileana entered the agreement for three films, it’s their choice of films she has to act in. If YRF chooses to produce another movie in Telugu or Tamil and decides to have Ileana play the heroine (because she is already popular in South), there is no way she can avoid South films :-). Oops!
