Hyderabad-metro-rail-speedHyderabad Metro Rail Works which are limping a month ago due to various controversies between the concessionaire and the Telangana government is finally back on track. Telangana government has submitted the progress report to the project monitoring group (PMG) of the Prime Minister’s Office by indicating that the work in the past month has been better than that of the previous two and half months.

L&T officials say the works seem to have relatively quickened after it had reached core city from the suburbs. However, these works were mostly confined to the two corridors – L.B. Nagar to Miyapur and Nagole to Shilparamam. But the works at the controversial Sultan Bazaar and also in front of the Legislative Assembly building remain the dull as the government did not yet take a call on the contentious issues there.

The State government officials also attached a special note to the Union Government’s Additional Secretary, Anil Swarup that they are extending “full and complete cooperation” for the timely completion of the project. It may be reminded to our readers that Anil Swarup was appointed by the Union government to sort out the differences between the state government and the concessionaire.
