High Court becomes headache for TS govt once again!Telangana government had requested 249 days time from the High Court for conducting GHMC elections. Telangana’s Attorney General had submitted an affidavit with the proposal to the court. However the court refused to give so much of time for the government and asked it to come with earlier dates.

The government is delaying the elections in the name of delimitation of GHMC wards. Currently there are 150 wards and they will become 200 after the delimitation. The government says it will require a minimum of 249 days for the delimitation and conducting the elections.

On the other side, the recent MLC defeat sent jitters in the spine of the government about a possible GHMC elections defeat. The ruling party is trying to buy as much as time possible for the GHMC elections to consolidate in the settlers but the court is not allowing it enough time.
