Notorious Mining Baron and Politician of Karnataka, Gaali Janardhan Reddy is one step away from getting released from jail. Gaali was booked in six cases – four in Karnataka and two in Andhra Pradesh and was housed in Parapanna Agarahara jail in Bangalore.
Gaali has got bail on Saturday from a special CBI court in connection with the case of illegal mining and export of iron ore from Belekeri port. With this Reddy has got bail in all the four cases in Karnataka and one case in Andhra Pradesh.
He is yet to get relief in the Obulapuram Mining Company case, which is pending before the Supreme Court. If he happens to get bail in that case too, he will be out of the jail. Gaali Janardhan Reddy was a kingpin in the BJP government in Karnataka then. However his mining irregularities has got him in jail and the BJP party in to the opposition benches.
