Those who were following politics from 90s can easily remember the fierce fight between the then Chief Ministers of AP and Karnataka – Chandrababu Naidu and SM Krishna. Both of them are said to be the most vigilant Chief Ministers in the country and used to go neck to neck in bringing investments to their states. Both of them lost power later. Chandrababu is back at the helm while SM Krishna is still in political exile.
SM Krishna was recently in AP on a private tour and speaking to media here, he said Chandrababu Naidu is as vigilant as he is before in his earlier tenure. He even went on to say Andhra Pradesh is much ahead of Karnataka in development despite the problems brought by the bifurcation.
SM Krishna’s statement gains prominence as Karnataka lost Hero Motocorp to Andhra Pradesh and couple of other industries to the neighbouring states in the recent times. This statement however corners the Congress government in Karnataka as it comes from a Congress leader and a former Chief Minister of the state.
