The court has opined dissolution of Chennai Super Kings with out further enquiry is the lone remedy to the problem.

Srinivasan is the Managing Director of India Cements which owns Chennai Super Kings. Again Srinivasan is the then President of BCCI and now ICC Chairman. Gurunath Meiyappan, the Team Principal of CSK and son-in-law of Srinvasan is proven to be involved in Cricket Betting.

This call for disqualification of Chennai Super Kings will come as a rude jolt for the entire tournament since CSK is the top most team in the league. The Super Kings are the most successful team in the IPL having won the title twice in succession (2010 and 2011).They have also won the Champions League Twenty20 twice. The brand value of the Super Kings in 2012 was estimated at US$75.13 million, making them the most valuable franchise in the IPL.
