The Budget woes of Telangana seems to be over. The Government has finally decided the date of Assembly sessions. The session will begin on 20th of this month and will have a break of 3 days in between for Diwali. The government will introduce its first budget and also the first budget in the new state in this session. However the exact date of tabling the budget is yet to be revealed.
The budget session was earlier scheduled to take place in September but were postponed to October as the Chief Minister scrapped the entire draft budget and ordered for a fresh one which reflects the vision of his government. As many as 14 task forces were constituted to prepare KCR’s dream budget but those task forces continue to miss their deadlines forcing more than 2 months delay. The vote-on-account budget introduced in last February in the United State expired on September 30th. Currently KCR has got one more vote-on-account approved by the Governor. Finally the budget work is finished and the budget will tabled very soon.
