reguralisation in telanganaThe prestigious regularization scheme rolled out by the Telangana government did not yield the favourable results to the government. 5000 Crore additional target is expected through this scheme by regularizing occupied lands above 125 square yards (Below which are freely regularized). People are the opinion that the costs set for the regularization is very high and are hesitating to use it. So the government has decided to lower the price.

The cabinet meeting on Friday decided that the free regularization up to 125 sq yards is extended up to 150 sq yards. Owners have to shell out nominal fee for the extra sq yards after the 125 sq yards. This relaxation is useful to those owners whose plots are slightly greater than 125 sq yards. With the regularization fees lowered significantly and also gave the facility to pay them in installments.

Here are the new rates for regularization:

126 sq yards to 150 sq yards: In identified slums, 10% of Land values of the extra yards after 125 sq yards (for BPL families)
In unidentified slums, 25% of Land values of the extra yards after 125 sq yards (for BPL families)

up to 250 sq yards: 25% of the Land Value
up to 500 sq yards: 50% of the Land Value
Above 500 sq yards: 75% of the Land Value
