Defying the formula that only star heroes films garner huge openings, Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ is minting money and turning out to be the fastest film to be entering the Rs.100 crore club this year.
Though Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone too can pull huge crowds to films which have them playing the main lead, it’s Kangana who proved herself ‘Queen’ in this male-dominated scenario. Most overwhelming about the movie is its reception both in desi market and overseas. Tanu’s failed marriage and the aftermath connected with audience beautifully.
Talk about women power, Kangana Ranaut has replaced Priyanka Chopra who did pull great act with the biopic ‘Mary Com’. However Ms.Chopra’s film didn’t set the cash registers ringing as Kangana’s movies are doing these days. Tanu Weds Manu Returns is going to enter Rs.100 crore club in six days of its release.
