Instagram Vs FacebookA study conducted by New York-based research firm L2 suggests that popular brands have been depending more on Instagram than on Facebook for promoting their products. The study revealed that Facebook is slowly losing its user base. Especially in US, around three million US teenagers stopped using Facebook between 2011 and 2014 and a major chunk of them are preferring Instagram now.

It is said that the Top brands have been generating a good per-follower engagement rate than those posts on Facebook. The rate is almost 58 times higher than their Facebook posts and 120 times higher than their Twitter posts.

Facebook had changed its advertising policies starting from January 2015, it had drastically decreased the promotional page posts which had prompted a significant decrease in the marketed promotional content. So the top brands are slowly migrating to Instagram.
