The hard task Master in Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly taking a heavy toll on the IAS Babus of the state. They complain about the long hours of meetings and umpteen presentations they have to make for the CM on the ideas thrown up in the brain storming sessions.
The Senior bureaucrats are under so much of pressure that many times they end up doing the works of their subordinates as they are accountable directly to the Chief Minister. The Babus claim that even with 43% fitment thrown by the government, the lower staff are not in any way interested to give their best to the government.
Sensing the work toll on the senior IAS officers, the Chief Secretary cancelled his own weekly meetings of all department secretaries and is doing them once in a fortnight. Also the meetings of the district collectors were cut down short stressing only on very important issues. However the IAS Babus openly admit that they should get adopted to such grueling schedules for the next four years to match the enthusiasm and drive of the Chief Minister.
