Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu which released on September 20 has been declared a disaster at the box office by the trade. The film is currently in its fourth week and is running in very few centers across the state. Even in these centers it is running without any shares but it’s running to complete the 50 days mark.

One such center where the film is reportedly locked to complete 50 days is RTX Roads in Hyderabad. In this center none of the Mahesh Babu films over the last decade have missed running for 50 days. It is something the fans take as a prestige and they continue to run it irrespective of the fate of the film. Knowing all this history it came as a surprise to trade when the movie was given termination even before the completion of 50 days with Pooja expected to replace it.

However as many anticipated in the last minute it was decided that Aagadu would complete 50 days and Pooja makers were expected to take another theatre. Baffled by this sudden development with the film about to release in a week time, the makers of Pooja, which stars Vishal and Shruti Haasan in the lead, have filed a case on the theatre management for not honouring the agreement. We have to see now how they respond to it and if the movie Aagadu will be removed from the theatre or not.

The question we would like to ask here is do 50 days still matter in this day and age of massive releases. Once upon a time there used to be huge fight among fans for these sorts of records but that tradition has ceased to exist long ago. So why a film like Aagadu is being dragged and does it needs to give way to Pooja as agreed? Tell us what you think of this whole scenario below.
