manchu manoj sunny leoneThere was once a phase in the Telugu Film Industry when many film makers resorted to cheap and indecent comedy in the name of entertainment. Those were bad days when using double meaning dialogues was rampant and was accepted as the success strategy to attract the audiences of B and C centres. Healthy Cinema had to take back seat then.

Thankfully, that kind of using double meanings trend was put to an end gradually. Once again healthy content made its way into movies made in Tollywood. A true movie lover wouldn’t want those days to come back again. But recently film maker Maruthi’s films had such indecent and cheap double meaning dialogues. He even earned that indecent tag and big heroes are keeping him away because of this tag.

It is a good sign that many big names kept him away because of his tag and Maruthi is desperately trying to come out of it. But once again it is paining to see an actor like Manchu Manoj who solely depends on choosing variety and never shies away from experimenting; going for double meaning dialogues.

In ‘Current Theega’, Manoj’s episodes with Sunny Leone depended on cheap comedy based on double meaning dialogues. It is really depressing to see a hero of Manoj’s stature who is always open to challenging roles, using double meaning dialogues in the name of entertainment. Hope he takes a cue out of this and checks out to see that our Telugu movies will not retrace to the black days when double meanings were rampant.
