Rajendra Prasad Dagudumutha Dandakor ReviewWhat is the film about?
Raju Garu (Rajendra Prasad) loves grand daughter Bangaram (Sara Arjun) very much and she loves Nani (a cock) with same affection. Why and what happens when Nani goes missing after the arrival of all the family members for Jathara is what the film is all about.

How is Rajendra Prasad’s performance?
Actor Rajendra Prasad has been there done that. He has done a good job once again bringing great dignity to the the character at the same time engaging the audience and not over doing the act. It’s a fine balance and he has managed this quite well as usual.

Malineni Dagudumutha Dandakor ReviewDirection By Malineni?
RK Malineni has a proven content in his hand but the real difficult job is to adapt it to our local sensibilities. For this part he has relied on casting and it has surely worked in his favor. So now he has a proven content and good casting too but still he isn’t completely effective in the end.

The biggest problem with the film is it requires the characters to pull us through the dull parts with their chemistry when nothing is happening story wise. It is in this area that the director filters and in the end with the actor’s lacking the chemistry among then we are left with a product that feels superficial and empty and if one then adds the predictability on display, we know what the end result is likely to be.

Sara Arjun Dagudumutha Dandakor ReviewSara Arjun and others performance?
The film contains number of actors that we usually see in various films playing the same roles but with less significance and acting merely as fillers. Here they are all part of an ensemble and individually they all have there small moments. But it’s Sara Arjun who shines above all in this enterprise with her sweet and charming act.

ES Murthy Dagudumutha Dandakor ReviewMusic and other departments?
ES Murthy provides the music for the film which is par for course for a village based film. It is clearly template driven but nonetheless helps take the narrative forward. Background score in key moments is well, especially a recurring motif is neatly used at appropriate times. Editing should have been shaper especially in second half. Cinematography is okay. Dialogues are decent, nothing really stands out.

Contrived climax.

Drawbacks Dagudumutha Dandakor ReviewAlternative take:
A film build around the central conceit involving the God and offerings of sacrifice as prayer would surely be an exciting prospect if there is enough emotional depth.

Will you recommend it?
Yes but with huge apprehensions.
