Court buys Jagan's excuse, case to another date

In the case of Jayalalitha’s disproportionate assets case, it took 18 years for the law to convict her. Justice delayed is justice denied. Our political leaders may not be adept at formulating strategies to ensure the welfare of the people. However they are indeed skilful at using every string and loophole in law, to prolong cases as many years as possible.

When Jagan Mohan Reddy requested court to grant permission to be absent on 21st October for the hearing, many were surprised that how could court buy such a lame excuse that Jagan wants to skip the hearing of the court to visit HudHud victims. When the demonic cyclone hit Uttarandhra and the region was devastated, Jagan was no where in sight and busy dealing with mining lease cancellation issue instead of reaching out for the victims.

The cyclone hit Vizag on 12 October but Jagan wants to skip the court hearing on 21st October. He really has got the right time to tour the cyclone hit place. Surprisingly special judge exempted Jagan from court proceedings on 21st October and CBI had no apprehensions on Jagan’s exemption! Several accused persons in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s cases appeared in the court on Tuesday and the judge marked their attendance and posted the case for November 20.

This whole thing looks like a school attendance programme. A court hearing date wasted for just marking attendance and posting it to another date. On another date, some other principal accused person would find another reason to ask for exemption and once again the case gets posted to a new date. When cases are dealt in such manner, even 18 years (like in Jaya’s case) wouldn’t be enough to give verdict on such cases. Mean while anything could happen. Don’t you agree that justice delayed is justice denied?
