There are several rumours floating in media over the Siva Rama Krishnan Committee’s report about the state capital of Andhra Pradesh and there is a big controversy going on in Andhra Pradesh over the contents of the report. However it is now said that the report submitted by the committee on Wednesday is not fully complete and a new report will be submitted in Friday or Saturday.

It is not clear if the second report is going to be a continuation of the first report or a separate report. It is told that the second part will deal with the financial and technical difficulties of the capital. The report will be shown to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and later will be sent to the state government and will be put on Union home ministry website as well.

Reliable Sources in Central government tells us that the committee had mentioned that the state government is the final authority in deciding the state capital. Such mention is found at least thrice in the first report submitted to the Home Ministry. It is known that Siva Rama Krishnan Committee was constituted by the previous UPA government to recommend the best possible state capital of the residuary Andhra Pradesh as promised by the Andhra Reorganization Act.
