chiranjeevi-balakrishna

Mahesh, Pawan, Allu Arjun, NTR and Ram Charan Tej are ruling Tollywood at present. But the main competition is between Mahesh and Pawan at present apparently. Before these top heroes entered the top league, it had been the reign of the big four heroes in Tollywood. Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna were the only names considered big despite many other succesful heroes were in the race.

As change is natural and dynamic, the new generation heroes took over gradually. Chiru made his entry into politics and hence had to take a brief hiatus from acting. Venkatesh had to accept the change in the scenario and wisely decided to go for multi-starrer movies. Nagarjuna also slowly followed suit and did ‘Manam’, a multi-starrer. Reportedly Nag accepted to do another multi-starrer with Junior NTR.

When megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback into films is announced, knowingly or unknowingly he is pitted against Balayya Babu. The reason most probably might be because he is the only hero of Chiru’s generation who is still giving superhits as solo hero in his movies. When Balayya recently spoke that he doesn’t need to run his movies forcefully for records, the comments were said to be targetted on Chiru.

On Chiru’s birthday when Ram Charan said, ‘Chiru’s 150 th film won’t be something which has absolute violence, twirling moustache, carrying swords etc etc’, again the rumours doing rounds say those were intended to point out Balayya Babu. However it is clear that audiences and fans feel that Chiru’s come back means he has a tough competitor in Balakrishna who is the only senior hero giving solo hits. What do you say guys? Do you agree?
