Govt increases compensation for Riverside Farmers!The meeting between Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Riverside farmers of Capital villages ended fruitful. The Chief Minister agreed to increase the compensation to Jareeb lands. Earlier they were supposed to get 1300 square yards for every acre given. Now they will be extending it to 1450 square yards, out of which 450 square yards will be for commercial purpose.

Government also accepted to extend same compensation to Jareeb Land owners of Bethampudi, Navuluru, Yarrabalem, Undavalli and Penumaka Villages who are also reluctant to give their lands. To extend helping hand to small farmers with below one acre, the government set a minimum compensation of 30000 per annum to Metta farmers and 50000 per annum to Jareeb farmers. This way the small farmers will be secured.

Chandrababu also increased the compensation of expensive crops like Lemon and Jasmine from 50000 per year to One Lakh per year. The Chief Minister announced that compensation will be disbursed to farmers who already given their lands from March 1st. With this announcement, more farmers are likely to give their lands in government’s land pooling.
