chandra babu naidu decides ap formation dayChief Minister Chandrababu Naidu led Andhra Pradesh government has finally decided the Andhra Pradesh State Formation day. The cabinet in the meeting today decided that June 2nd, the day on which Telangana and Andhra Pradesh got separated will be deemed as the state formation day going further and the government will celebrate the day every year officially beside announcing it as a state holiday. So far the government is recognizing November 1st, the day the United State of Andhra Pradesh (with Telangana) came in to existence but now since Telangana is no longer a part of Andhra Pradesh, the day lost its significance.

It is known to our readers that there were divided opinions regarding the State Formation day till now. Some people say that AP should observe October 1 as the formation day as it was on this day that Andhra state was formed after separation from the Madras Presidency in 1953. The state that was formed from Madras Presidency exists today. And there are some people who argue to take the recent appointed day, June 2nd as the formation day. However few differ with that opinion as the state was still under President’s rule till June 8th. TDP formed the government only on 8th and some say the day on which elected government exists should be considered as the formation day. Finally with this decision all the those are put to rest.
