After successfully bringing Hero Motocorp to Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is now eyeing the manufacturing plant of Hyundai Motors which is the second largest automobile player in India. If Chandrababu’s attempts work, the suffering state will again be Karnataka who already lost Hero Motocorp. Siddaramaiah government is trying its level best to bring the plant to Hubli-Dharwad assuring all possible help and incentives to the company.

But Chandrababu is trying to woo the company will ‘all possible help’ plus free land, a very tempting deal for the company. The plant if lost to Andhra Pradesh will become a big headache to the ruling government since the plant is aimed at curbing the demand for a separate state and appease people of North Karnataka. This will be the second manufacturing plant for Hyundai in India. It is expected to provide 5,000 job opportunities with investment of Rs 1,000-1,500 crore. As a part of its business expansion, the company has decided to introduce 2-3 models every year so they are keen on investing heavily on the manufacturing plants to cater the needs of their customers.
