Telangana government Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma and Government Advisor Paparao have flown to Delhi to clarify the ongoing Hyderbad Metro Controversy to Central Government officials. They have reportedly discussed the roadblocks to the project and the contentious issues between the government and the concessionaire L&T in giving the right of way (ROW) to ensure the project completion in time with the Center.

The released statement by Telangana CS after the meeting states that the project is being implemented faster than other projects in the country by L &T which comes as a surprise when the meeting took place in the wake of L &T’s letter to T-Government offering to walk out of the Rs 16,000 Cr plus project, as a final option, if the issues are not sorted out. According to the buzz in Political circles, the Prime Minister instructed Union Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu to just monitor the happenings in the project and do not interfere until things are totally going out of hand.
