train on platform hyderabadAn incident occurred in Mumbai when a passenger train, coming from Bhayander, went beyond the tracks and collided with the buffers at the end of the platform.

The clash, which took place at the Churchgate station, caused disruption to other trains and injuries to five passengers on board, who were aided by the Churchgate station staff or taken to a local hospital.

The speeding train was on platform 3 when it ran into the barrier causing its first bogie to mount the platform because the brakes did not function correctly. A CCTV recorded the shocking mishap. For further enquiry into the incident, the motorman, guard and loco inspector have been suspended from duty but for now, ‘human error’ is being considered as the cause.
