Case filed on ModiThe ‘Ashamed of India’ remark of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Seoul is continuing to stir controversy. An RTI activist in the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Delhi filed a case on the Prime Minister’s degrading comments. He even submitted a video clip of the speech to the court as evidence.

In his controversial speech at Seoul, Modi said, “There was a time when people used to say we don’t know what sins we committed in our past life that we were born in Hindustan. Is this any country, is this any government…we will leave.” He added that people were now secured in his rule.

The Prime Minister received a backlash in his backyard like Twitter after the users came back strong trending the hash tag #ModiInsultsIndia. Many criticized the Prime Minister for “insulting” his own country. Opposition parties waiting for a chance to lash Modi, also joined the tweet bandwagon.
