capital

20,000 Andhra Pradesh Employees of 53 government departments are now a worried lot regarding leaving Hyderabad and moving to the new capital. Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu already revealed his plans to relocate most departments to the temporary capital, Vijayawada some 15 days ago, but not a single officer made a move so far. While the employees are in denial to shift to Vijaywada citing the lack of infrastructure and amenities, the report of Siva Rama Krishnan committee recommending the capital to be build at remote places like Marutur, Donakonda, Vinukonda worries them more now.

Government employees are also not in favour of the committee’s recommendation to spread the 100-odd directorates and commissionerates across the 13 districts of AP. They say such move will prove to be a failure since there will be innumerable inter-departmental transactions on policy implementation and they will be extremely difficult to carry out if spread across the state. Employees are hoping that the state government rejects the Siva Rama Krishnan Report which will cause lot of problems for the employees. As CBN himself is going to clear the confusions around this today, clarity is expected.
