anushka shetty guna sekharIn Bollywood, once a film misses it’s release date, it would be allowed for a later release only after 6 months. This makes the makers of a film to plan out meticulously and release on the announced date. The rule is followed strictly and even superstars aren’t allowed to break this rule. But in Tollywood it’s different. Let’s see the present scenario post the release of Gunashekhar’s ‘Rudramadevi.

After several postponements creating a lot of ambiguity for the other films, Rudramadevi opened to mixed talk but entered safe zone because of two factors. One is the tax exemption from Telangana government and the other being it’s shocking collections despite the divided talk.

If a film does well at ticket counters, everyone related to the film is naturally happy. But veteran Director’s comments on biggies arriving right after a week and as a result Rudramadevi would have to be removed from some theatres despite it’s good run has unleashed a series of retorts on Rudramadevi.

Young actor Nikhil put the entire blame on Rudramadevi for wasting many dates and making small films suffer which backed out from releasing many times due to several postponements from makers of Rudramadevi. He is putting forward the above discussed Bollywood model so that no one postpones their films as they like and hence waste dates creating great anxiety for small films. Do you think, ‘The Bollywood model’ would work here in Tollywood?
