It’s been ages since we have had a female star with the aura of Vijayashanti. The actress at her peak was labeled ‘Female’ Amitabh Bachchan and for over a decade she ruled the roost as top female star in Telugu films.
Now Priyamani is nowhere near her in terms of that star appeal but she is hoping that her new film will put her in that direction going forward. The actress will be seen playing the role of a no nonsense cop in her upcoming film. Through this film she is hoping to bring alive the legacy of Karthavyam that starred Vijayashanti in lead.
Music director RP Patnaik is directing as well as producing this lady cop film. It will also be simultaneously released in Kannada as Priyamani off late is enjoying great popularity there.
