Manchu Lakshmi Budugu ReviewWhat is the film about?
Bunny the child has some mental issues due to the pressure and neglect of parents. What does he do to overcome it and how parents reacts to it and finally find a cure to his problem is what this family psychological thriller is all about.

How is Manchu Lakshmi’s performance?
Manchu Lakshmi tries to give a very casual yet intense act of a caring mother. She is half way there in terms of body language on those aspects but the voice and dialogue delivery feel like they are on different universe altogether. This mismatch takes away any sort of effect the character or the performance could have imparted.

Manmohan Budugu ReviewDirection By Manmohan?
Direction by Manmohan is poor. The film for most part feels like a disjointed mess. What we have for most part is a family drama going on involving a child who feels neglected. This itself should provide enough material for drama but an unnecessary horror angle involved in the whole set up sticks out of the narrative.

First half of the film is weak and it continues in the same vein till almost the pre-climax of the film where things take a predictable turn. The scenes are shallow lacking any real depth and basic point although good and noble seems so far removed from reality. The climax makes everything preceding it feel like a joke.

Sreedhar rao Budugu ReviewSreedhar rao and others performance?
Sreedhar Rao who is usually given negative roles gets a different role of a father for a change. He is just about okay, although he manages to show all his sincerity for the part. Master Prem Babu is fine. More than his act it’s look and lighting that dominates the proceedings. Sana is wasted where as Indraja is given an important role which she does justice too.

Sai Karthik Budugu ReviewMusic and other departments?
Music by Sai Karthik is poor barring one song that feels passable. The background score is par for course for the genre chosen. Cinematography and editing are bad. Dialogues at times get into the unintentional comedy zone and that’s actually the only thing we remember about them.

Highlights Budugu ReviewHighlights?
Message.
Pre climax bit.

Drawbacks?
Muddled narration.
Key performances.

Drawbacks Budugu ReviewAlternative take:
What happens in the second half of the film should have happened a lot earlier and finally the conclusion should be given in such a way that it’s simple but not childish which is the feeling we get here.

Did I enjoy it?
No.

Will you recommend it?
No.
