hero-shivaji
What is the film about?
A couple goes on a vacation to a mansion and are struck their facing a ghostly wrath. Why are they haunted and how can they escape is what the film is about.

How is Shivaji’s performance?
Shivaji is a decent actor with excellent voice and diction. Once again this quality shines in the film where he has to do a role with dual personality. The kind of performance that he has given in the film has become par for course with such storylines in recent past.

director-rewon-yadu-1
Direction By Rewon Yadu?
Director Rewon Yadu has an interesting plot for his debut movie. However the director fails to make best use of the given idea by using the idea a tool to produce comedy gags. There is no real tension or seriousness in the narrative. There are lots of loose ends which the director has handled poorly. The climax especially is a big let down from the direction as well as writing perspective.

kainaz-motiwala-1
Kainaz Motiwala and others performance?
Kainaz Motivala is not just the heroine of the movie but also parallel lead for the film along with hero. The story is such that she gets equal opportunity to show her skills and she tries her best to make use of the given chance. However the output isn’t entirely satisfactory as she fails at the small key moments. But it can’t be denied though she along with Shivaji seems to be enjoying a lot what they are doing. Apart from her and hero, there are a number of comedians who and go into the scenes. Tagubothu Ramesh, Chithram Sreenu, Dhanraj, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, Posani Krishna Murali are some of those comic actors. They move in and out of the screenplay doing their bit.

sekhar-chandra-md-1
Sekhar Chandra and other departments?
Music by Sekhar Chandra is ho hum but the background score makes up for it. There is nothing special it’s what we come to expect when it’s a horror movie but still its fun. Editing is nice. Cinematography is inconsistent overall. Dialogues are just about okay.

Alternative take:
Instead of going for the easy route with comedy and spoiling the basic core plot, one wishes the makers had stuck to the seriousness the plot offered. With seriousness established and emotional bonding felt with the lead character, the current climax could have been better executed giving us a fulfilling viewing experience. Instead what we get is a copout climax that is so abrupt coming across as something that was done in haste.

Did I enjoy it?
Very few parts.

Will you recommend it?
No. But if it’s a houseful crowd and you are forced, then go ahead.
