There is a lot of discussion in media as well as social networking sites over the candidature of Bobby Jindal for the next year’s US President. Bobby never took pride in boasting of his Indian origin and so the debate of NRIs favouring him erupted every where.
Bobby Jindal’s family has with their ancestral home in Punjab’s Khanpur village. Bobby’s father migrated to Us about 50 years back. Their home was divided in to four parts and was divided between four sons of Bobby’s great grandfather. Bobby’s grand father already sold his share.
A small-time businessman Bhupinder Singh brought the house from Madan Lal Jindal, Bobby’s grandfather in 1992. Bhupinder never bothered to change the name of Madan Lal on the electricity receipt as they always pay the bill in time for every two months. Bobby’s only link to India is this electricity bill.
