mamata banerjee narendra modiLooks like Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party is all set for one more shock in the West Bengal Assembly Elections next year. Until now, BJP was making tall claims of pushing the ruling Trinamool Congress and Opposition Left Parties and lay stake for Bengal throne in the 2016 elections. But the municipal election results that were announced today delivered nothing less than a shock for the saffron party.

Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress is leading on majority of seats in 91 civic bodies including Kolkata Municipal Corporation. According to the trends right now, BJP is hovering around Zero to five municipalities which can be termed as pathetic. Even the written off Left Parties and Congress seem to be putting up better performance than BJP here.

The civic polls were held in 91 municipalities across the state on April 25 which recorded a vote turnout of 79 percent. Experts do believe that these election results will be like Pre-poll surveys for the big show next year. Will it be a back to back insult for Modi after Delhi?
