Rajamouli’s ‘Magadheera’ was remade in Bengali and went on to become smashing hit in West Bengal. The buzz on the Hindi remake with Shahid Kapoor in the lead is making rounds since long. But nothing did happen since 2014, when Sajid Nadiadwala bought the remake rights.
Suddenly gossips popped up from national media on Thursday that a source confirmed the Hindi remake and it is going to be helmed by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ fame with around Rs.120 crores. There is actually no official source to confirm the same.
Rajamouli has always been against directing the remakes of his own films and hence the names of other directors came on board. But without any official confirmation one can not rely on the gossip that Bhansali is going to direct ‘Magadheera’s Hindi remake.
