What is the film about?
Sanju (Sundeep Kishan) is a naughty kid who always creates troubles for his father. How big these problems raise to and how Sanju solves them in the end and where does Beeruva fit in all these is what the film is all about.
How is Sundeep Kishan’s performance?
Sundeep Kishan is once again repeating his act. There is no change from his previous films in what he does, of course there is nothing in the subject that could provide any such scope either. Its all about delivering funny lines with confidence and be energetic. He is okay in both categories. There is little improvement in dances which can be said as only positive.
Direction By Kanmani?
Direction by Kanmani is a mixed bag. He has handled the father and son chemistry very well. These are what that eventually stays with us at the end of the film. Other than these portions everything looks weak and lacks the spark required for the film. For a film that is thin in terms of story this becomes a crucial problem and where the film looses its steam. This becomes ever more problematic in second half when everything hinges on this romance with no story to say. The climax is a big bore as a result of all these problems.
Surabhi and others performance?
Surabhi looks good and is used well in songs and romantic portions. There is nothing to say performance wise though. It is Naresh who steals the show in the film. The senior actor gets almost a parallel lead with hero and he is always a step ahead in terms of expressions in sync with the situations at hand. Mukesh Rishi plays typical villain role but in controlled fashion. Shakalaka Shankar and Sapthagiri are the only comedians in the film and they are good but in a very predictable way.
Music and other departments?
Music by SS Thaman is mediocre. The BGM by him is better in comparison but even that is a mixed bag. Cinematography is good. Editing is poor. Dialogues are average as well but at times the actors make them work.

Hero father chemistry.

Comedy in parts.
Drawbacks?
Poor story and screenplay.

Alternative take:
It is a predictable story that is dependent on the screenplay and actors chemistry to work. Since the latter is a difficult task the firmer should been harnessed further especially the second half. Either more romance or comedy but with freshness would have worked for the film.
