ysrcp party mlas in assemblyLeader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that his party is withdrawing the No Confidence Motion moved against the state Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao. With this the special assembly session planned on April 4th for this purpose stand cancelled.

The other day, Government got YSR Congress on back foot by moving Privilege motion on 9 YSR Congress MLAs. Fearing a possible suspension, Jagan and the 9 MLAs apologized to the Speaker for using derogatory language at the Speaker’s Chair. BJP MLA, Vishnu Kumar Raju mediated with YSR Congress to withdraw the no confidence motion. It is known that YSR Congress do not have the numbers to get the No Confidence motion succeeded in the house.

Couple of days ago, Jagan challenged to boycott the assembly till the no confidence motion is taken up but deviated from it by attending the house. In all the ways, the ruling party managed to show the opposition on the back foot. YSR Congress MLAs are themselves unhappy with Jagan for this last minute fallout after putting up an impressive fight in this session. Many of them even felt insulted for having to apologize.
