hindhuja thermal power plantGoing by the plans of Andhra Pradesh government, the state is expected to have a surplus power of 11087 Million Units by next year. The government is also planning a new company to sell the excess power. This excess is estimated if all the projects work to their full capacity with out any technical problems.

Discoms in AP are targeting to supply 24 hours uninterrupted power supply to Agriculture use by 2015-2016. The Power companies of AP have decided that power to be produced by Krishnapatnam and Hinduja will be belonging to them and there is question of sharing the power with Telangana.

They are also preparing proposals to give Telangana discoms share in the equity earned through the power from these plants for the investments they did in these plants. On the other side, Telangana is very particular on getting power from these two plants and is keen to even knock the door of courts if necessary on this issue.
