ap high court shiftingAndhra Pradesh government seem to be not interested in the immediate division of high court. Last week the Hyderabad High Court clarified that it is AP which should make arrangements for a new high court and asked for the government’s stand on it. Today, Andhra Pradesh government had filed its argument as an affidavit.

According to it, Andhra Pradesh clarified that it can not show an alternate location for the new high court immediately. The state government has clarified that Center should fund for the state capital according to the reorganization act and so it can not act immediately on the issue.

The state government also brought to the notice of the court that the high court location has to be notified by the President of India. However the state admitted that it is in favour of high court separation according to the bifurcation act. Given the conditions laid by AP, the high court division will take a very long time. On the other side, experts say that Telangana government wants the separation at any cost as they feel separate high courts for both the states will dilute the issues sprouting between both the states.
