ATM speed post andhra pradesh State Bank of India in association with the Andhra Pradesh Circle of India Post is planning a new initiative of sending letters and parcels through ‘Speed Post’ from its ATMs. A customer who wants to send a Speed Post will have to visit a nearby SBI ATM instead of the local post office and carry out a less than two-minute transaction to send the letter or article.

The letter/parcel, which the customer intends to send will have to wighed using the weighing plate available there. The ATM screen will display the weight and the amount to be paid. The fee will have to be paid with the debit card and it will generate two receipts. One receipt has to be pasted on the letter/parcel, while the customer will keep the second receipt for record purpose.

After completion of the process, the customer has to drop the letter/parcel in a designated box at the ATM for the post man to collect them and dispatch. This new process will eliminate the cumbersome process of visiting a post office and there by will also save time.
