Chandrababu naidu popularity in Telangana

Andhra Pradesh government is one of the quickest to reach out to Jammu and Kashmir which is reeling under heavy floods. The state government has put in special efforts to rescue Telugu students who are studying in NIT Srinagar. Interestingly, majority of these students hails from the neighboring Telangana state but Chandra Babu’s government has shown no inhibitions towards them and took them along with AP students.

Totally, AP government has rescued 76 Telugu students from Srinagar so far and they are deported to Hyderabad through a special flight from Delhi. It is said that the parents of the Telangana students are moved by the kind gesture of AP Chief Minister and thanked him personally on phone. Some of them are even trying to reach out to the Chief Minister to personally meet and thank him along with their rescued children. Jammu and Kashmir is battling one of the worst floods in decades due to days of incessant rain. Over 300 people have died and thousands are stranded across the state waiting desperately for food and medical help. Water, electricity, supplies and other services have been hit within the state.
