The winter session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly will take place in the upcoming capital region, Amaravati. This was revealed by none other than Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao. Andhra Pradesh government is looking all possibilities to shift to AP as soon as possible.
Off late, AP cabinet meetings are happening in various towns of Andhra Pradesh and the Chief Minister is staying at least five days a week in Vijayawada and other districts. Earlier the government planned to have the current session in Gitams college, Vishakapatnam but refrained from it in the last minute.
Nagarjuna University in Guntur may house the winter session in case Amaravati is the final choice then. That session will be the first assembly session in Andhra Pradesh after the state bifurcation.
