Andhra-Pradesh-capital-Amaravathi-latest-news_TeluguAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced ‘Amaravathi’ as the finalized name of the upcoming capital of the state. Amaravathi means the city of gods will be a people’s capital and Chandrababu vouched to develop it on the lines of the Top International cities.

The Master Plan of the Capital City will be submitted by May 15th. The capital is likely to have three rings – the core capital region, capital area and a larger capital region and will have radial roads connecting the CRDA limits and 200 Km Ring Road will minimize the distance between Guntur and Vijayawada. The state government is also planning 5 Briges on Krishna River. and the National highways 5,9,214 will be extended to reach out the Ring Road.

The state government plans industrial corridors between Vishakapatnam and Chennai, Kakinada and Machilipatnam. A proposal of water based transport between Bhadrachalam and Rajahmundry is also there. According to the 1st phase Master Plan, Gudivada Corridor will have Agro based industries, Gannavaram will have IT Corridor and Nandigama will have Pharma Corridor. To improve air connectivity to the capital, Plans are on to develop the Gannavaram airport as international airport with a possibility of another airport at Mangalagiri in future.
