Is Alludu Sreenu scaring off the new releases? This has been the hot discussion among the trade today ever since it was known that the film Run Raja Run would be postponed. The film which stars Sharwanand in the lead role was all set to release on July 18 and even censor work for the film has been set up but all of sudden it was announced that the film will not be released as announced. No one knows the actual reason for now and hence the speculation.
It is being said in industry circles that producer Bellamkonda Suresh has taken the debut movie of his son Sai Srinivas as a prestigious issue. He is making sure that it is seen as a big release and is therefore giving a big hero kind of release to the film. When a movie has such a big release it takes up huge number of screens and in the process eats up the other film temporarily whether or not it gets collections as expected. Add to an already accepted movie that wouldn’t let go off its screens. The new movie only has a chance to survive if it has great word of mouth and retains screens. Not many take this chance and postpone their films. This is what might be happening to Run Raja Run, feel the trade. Is Alludu Sreenu really worth of a big release we would know in two weeks.
