It might be surprising to many but it’s true. That is how the film Darling is being promoted in Kerala. Darling is a horror comedy that marks the debut of composer GV Prakash as hero.
Darling is the official remake of successful Telugu film Prema Katha Chithram in Tamil. This film incidentally also marks the returns of Geetha Arts production banner in Tamil after couple of decades. They have made this film by partnering with Studio Green in Tamil. Now if one puts the two dots together it would be easy to get how it’s being promoted that way.
Geetha Arts is own banner of Allu Arjun and in a similar way Studio Green is home banner of Suriya in Tamil. Taking the advantage of two in-house stars the production houses are marketing the film in Kerala as a film produced by the two stars. That’s a smart move by the makers which helps not just the movie but even the stars.
